The Vessel Foundation was born from a promise, a calling, and a remarkable story of faith.
Denise Rosenkampff was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished friend, and faithful follower of Jesus Christ. After
a courageous year-long battle with cancer, she was called home to Heaven in December 2025, just one week before
Christmas. Five days before she passed away, while resting at home and only one day before entering Hospice care, Denise shared something with her husband, Brad, that would forever change his life and many others. Though barely able to speak, she told him she believed her passing—she never referred to it as her “death”—would become a vessel for God’s Kingdom.
At the time, neither of them could have imagined what those words would mean.
More than 300 people attended Denise’s Celebration of Life Service and more than 700 viewed online. In the days that
followed, people began sharing what became known as their “vessel stories”—accounts of how Denise’s faith, courage,
testimony and the service itself had touched their lives. One week later, Brad shared a simple Instagram post honoring his wife and reflecting on the beautiful service.
What happened next was extraordinary.

Over the following weeks, the post was viewed more than 2.4 million times, generating over 15,000 personal messages from people around the world. Many offered condolences. Others shared their own stories of grief and hope. Countless people reached out wanting to know more about Denise the family, faith, and, most importantly, Jesus Christ.
The vessel Denise spoke about had begun. Thousands of conversations centered on hope, peace, healing, faith, purpose, and the promise found in Christ.
It became clear that God was using one life—and one story—to encourage countless others.
That spirit of service was a major part of Denise’s life. She was always involved in charitable work and looking for ways to help those around her. Six years before her passing, after serving as Auction Chair for the Hope & Will Ball
benefiting Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Denise shared with Brad that she felt God was calling them to create
a charity or event of their own—one that would bless others and leave a lasting impact on the community. Although that dream wasn’t realized during her lifetime, we believe God was preparing something even greater.
Today, that dream lives on through The Vessel Foundation.
Our mission is to identify, encourage, and invest in young leaders who demonstrate faith, character, servant leadership,
and a desire to impact the world for God’s Kingdom. In doing so, we pray that Denise’s legacy—and the vessel God
promised her life would become—continues to inspire generations to come.
Every life is a vessel. Our prayer is that each one is poured out for His glory.
